Anglophones 2025

27 members of Batala Lancaster spent the weekend in Bristol at Anglophones practicing alongside members of our UK sister bands, polishing our repertoire ready for our gigging season. The weekend cluminated in a Sunday afternoon gig at Bristol Harbourside. Thank you to Batala Bristol for organising and amazing weekend and looking after us so well.

This year, we have been supporting local charity CancerCare. Over the past twelve months, we’ve played at the start of their Cross Bay Walk, done a Christmas Busk, held sales of pre-loved costumes, and finished fundraising year with a busk in Bowness on 23 March, where we collected £422, making the total for the year

Batala Mundo at St Patrick’s Day in Cork.

Eight Batala Lancaster players were part of an 80-strong Batala Mundo band that played in Cork for St Patrick’s Day 2025. The band was made up of drummers from Batala Bangor, Batala Bermo, Batala Bristol, Batala Manchester, Batala Mersey, Batala London, Batala Portsmouth, Batala Athens and Batala Crete.
