You can modify the t-shirt as long as all the wording and images are still clearly visible. You should not wear anything over your costume (e.g. hoodies or coats) when performing. \nWe have been granted special permission from the Duchy to play at the Castle\, so please be mindful of your behaviour at all times. DESCRIPTION:Batala Lancaster 20th Anniversary Celebration Weekend\nInformation for players\nBatala Lancaster will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary over the weekend of 11 – 13 October 2025 \nWeekend schedule\nFriday 11 October\nParty and ceilidh\n\nLancaster Brewery: 7:00 pm – 11:45 pm.\nA hotpot meal is included in your registration fee or guest ticket.\nPlease ensure you arrive at the party before 7:30 pm.\nDress code: anything goes! Feel free to dress up—from your favourite outfit to a fancy dress—but you’ll need comfortable shoes to dance in.\n\nLancaster Brewery location \n\nSaturday 12 October\nRehearsal\n\nCarnforth High School Sports Hall: 10:30 am – 4:00 pm.\n\nArrival and check-in: 10:30\nRehearsal starts at 10:45\nLunch break and merchandise sale: 1:30 pm\n\n\nThis is a non-smoking site. This includes the grounds and the car park. To smoke\, you will need to go to the pavement at the front of the school.\nPlease wear your own band’s t-shirt to the rehearsal. \nAnniversary t-shirts for Sunday’s gig for visiting players will be given out at the rehearsal. Lancaster players should collect theirs at practice on 30 September.\nThere will be an hour-long lunch break during rehearsal. We recommend you bring your food and drinks with you. Please do not bring foods containing nuts or seeds\, as members attending have severe allergies. \n\nCarnforth High School location \nMundo social night out at Lancaster Music Festival.\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \nThere will be music throughout the city in over 50 venues\, all easily walkable within the city centre\, from the courtyard inside Lancaster Castle to cafés and coffee shops\, through the city’s squares and outdoor spaces\, and in the majority of the city’s thirty-odd wonderful pubs and bars. \nLancaster’s grassroots festival celebrates the wonderful diversity and quality of musicians and performers in the local area while also inviting acts from all over the globe. The festival features over 400 performances from more than 300 artists—almost all of them free—plus street theatre and workshops. \nOur recommendations for Lancaster Music Festival:\n\nDalton Square: Food trucks and live music at the Metronome Stage – this is the suggested meeting point after our rehearsal: Dalton Square LMF schedule.\nMr Wilson’s Second Liners: Think New Orleans brass bands playing 90s club classics. You’ve not seen anything quite like this before\, and Lancaster goes mad for them – where to see Uptown Monotones.\nYou could also take a look at Lancaster Music Festival’s top picks.\n\nLancaster Music Festival website \n\nSunday 13 October\nGig at Lancaster Castle.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nBatala is headlining Lancaster Music Festival’s World Music Day. \nOur set times are at 12:30 – 12:50pm and 2:30 – 3:00pm. \nPlease ensure you arrive at the Castle at least 30 minutes before we are scheduled to play.  \nThe costume for the Castle gig is the 20th-anniversary t-shirt and any NHC trousers. You can modify the t-shirt as long as all the wording and images are still clearly visible. You should not wear anything over your costume (e.g. hoodies or coats) when performing. \nWe have been granted special permission from the Duchy to play at the Castle\, so please be mindful of your behaviour at all times. There is to be no drumming between sets or letting the public play our drums.  \nDrums must be tuned before arriving at the gig and stored in the designated storage space between sets to make room for other performers.  \nDance workshop: Between our two sets at the Castle\, Louise Gibbons will be holding a free dance workshop\, and participants will; than dance with us during our second set. If you have any friends or family attending on the day\, they would be very welcome to join in and then come and dance with us. They will need to book a free ticket to attend.
