DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to bring our largest-ever Batala band to the Lancaster Music Festival\, as 100 Batala drummers from around the UK and Brazil will perform at Lancaster Castle to mark the Lancaster band’s 20th anniversary\, headlining the festival’s World Music Day. \n\n\n\nWe will be playing two sets: \n\n\n\n\n12:30 – 12:50pm\n\n\n\n2:30 – 3:00pm\n\n\n\n\nJoining us for this gig will be members of Batala Bangor\, Batala Boom (Austria)\, Batala Brasil\, Batala Bristol\, Batala London\, Batala Manchester\, Batala Mersey and Batala Portsmouth.  \n\n\n\n\n\nLancaster Music Festival has always been one of our highlights\, but this year\, it’s going to be bigger than ever and definitely one not to miss!

DESCRIPTION:Lancaster Live is a new weekend festival of live music\, in the place of Lancaster Music Festival for 2025. Over 50 venues will host performances alongside a packed schedule of live local bands performing a free show in Market Square to ensure the festival is accessible to all.Batala Lancaster will play at Lancaster Castle on the Saturday\, with a 100-piece Mundo band\, reviving our 20th anniversary performance\, which was voted “favourite acoustic act” at Lancaster Music Festival 2024. \n\n\n\nOn Sunday we will play two sets in the city centre  \n\n\n\n\nSaturday at 3:00pm and 3:40pm – Batala Lancaster with Batala Mundo – 100-piece band at Lancaster Castle.\n\n\n\nSunday 3:50 – 4:10pm – Church Street\n\n\n\nSunday 5:00 – 5:20pm – Market Square festival finale with Batala Mundo
